New Schedule and the image process

Image
I've been publishing a new post every Friday since I started this blog back in May. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get an article out at least once a week, so I played it safe. Well, we are about to start August and I've been really enjoying this so far, (thank you Hannah), so much so, that I have decided to make an adjustment to my publishing schedule. Since my dear friend Hannah publishes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I'll try to get something out every Tuesday and Thursday. Two articles a week yay! That way if you follow her blog and my blog, there will be a new article each day of the week for everyone to read. This will then be my last Friday post, so, see you next Tuesday! Ok, ok, no I’m not leaving you with just a simple announcement, I want to take this opportunity to write about something a little different, a look into my creative process. Every time I send an  image over to my friend Hannah for her blog, she always seems surprised by the “ea...

Short story… or maybe not so short.

After reading the article by my friend Hannah titled  “I Want to Be a Crossdresser,”  a memory came rushing back. In her post, Hannah makes an excellent point: “Forced crossdressing is so interesting to me. It’s not really being forced if you seek out someone to 'make' you do it”.  Personally I think she is absolutely right. Back in my college days, I dated a girl who was bi. For me it was great because in my mind, if things worked out and we eventually tied the knot, it would probably be easier for her to accept me whether I was presenting as a man or as a girl. So one day, I decided to pitch her a "wild" idea. I looked at her and said,  "I’ll give you one full day to do absolutely anything you want with me".   Of course, my true, hidden intention was to bait her into "force” feminize me. I wasn't sure how she’d react to such an idea, so I kept the proposal intentionally vague, praying she would take the route I wanted. And wouldn't you know it...

Wrong body?

Image
One phrase I come across a lot online from other people like myself with gender dysphoria is the affirmation: “I was born in the wrong body.” Well, have we? What exactly would the “right” body be? I mean I’m not judging or saying they're wrong. That is their own perspective, and I know exactly what they are trying to express. But is it really a wrong body though? Personally, I never thought of myself as being born in the wrong body. I just knew I wanted to be a girl, dress like a girl, and live and experience life as a girl. But I never paused to think my actual physical form was a mistake. I guess that’s because, up until a certain age, there really isn't much difference between the bodies of young boys and girls anyway. The main difference is just in how grown-ups dress them, but you could dress a little boy in girls' clothes and he will look like a girl, or you could dress a girl in boys' clothes and she’ll look like a boy (of course, results may vary!). I only real...

My perspective

Image
My friend Hannah recently wrote, as she usually does, an incredibly interesting article titled “ Private Pride ”. It’s a good article, something she has masterfully perfected, no doubt, but it’s particularly fascinating because she manages to tackle three or four different, complex issues and merge them into one cohesive narrative. Check it out if you haven't already. It never ceases to amaze me how two (or more) individuals, living completely different lives in different corners of the world, can still share something so profoundly in common. And I’m not talking about something simple, like, " I love M&M’s , how amazing is it that somebody in Australia also likes M&M's!" No, I’m talking about those deep, specific connections that make you stop and go, Wow!. To stick with the M&M’s example for a moment, there’s nothing remarkable about finding someone else who enjoys them; millions of people do. But maybe you are one of those people who meticulously categ...

Mixed feelings

I really love movies. I grew up with classics like Star Wars , E.T. , Jaws , and Ghostbusters , alongside TV series like Diff'rent Strokes , The Wonder Years , and Knight Rider .  After all, to me, they are simply another art form. Many creative minds, writers, set designers, wardrobe stylists, makeup artists, practical effects wizards, and computer graphics animators, all converging on a single project that sometimes results in an absolute masterpiece. But just like any other art form, it is completely subjective. You might love a piece or you might hate it, just as you might appreciate a Picasso or think his work is ugly and looks like it was painted by a five year old. (Although, not all of his work looks like that, look it up, he has some amazingly detailed paintings). Given that brief list of favorites, it’s pretty obvious I grew up in the ’80s and back then, things weren’t very good for us trans folks, to put it lightly. Naturally, that reflected in how we were portrayed on...
